Purpose of Role: 

 

As a Senior Security Consultant – Vulnerability Management, you will be specifically responsible for managing and driving Vulnerability Management as an expert practice. This will include continual Vulnerability Analysis of Inchcapes’ entire IT landscape from Desktops to Core Systems and Services across some 20,000+ assets and services, You will also ensure remediation plans are enacted by relevant resolver groups in line with threat profile at hand and set standards.

 

 

Job Role and Responsibilities: 

 

  • Oversee and manage vulnerability assessment/management tools, ensuring optimal configuration and coverage across Inchcapes’ entire IT landscape
  • Continuously identifying opportunities to improve Inchcape’s vulnerability management programme and ensure optimal use of tooling.
  • Specific accountability for assessment stage through to ensuring remediation activities are implemented by relevant resolver groups. Lead and drive vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation efforts with different teams.
  • Proactively assess exposure to Cyber Threats and controls ability to mitigate.
  • Provide recommendations on how to improve threat mitigation.
  • Harness and develop Vulnerability Management tools and services to full potential to ensure full coverage and value for money.
  • Develop and maintain supporting procedures and processes in support of Vulnerability Management
  • Collaborate with the Cyber SOC Team and other Inchcape Platforms where active vulnerabilities need immediate mitigation
  • Plan and co-ordinate annual Pen Testing / Red Team exercises.
  • Drive automation opportunities within Vulnerability Management
  • Develop and maintain appropriate dashboard and detailed reporting in support of Vulnerability Management
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to L1 and L2 Security Engineers in support of Vulnerability Management tasks, technical leader for junior members of the team.
  • Focus on emerging threats in the external landscape to assess relevance and necessary actions within Inchcape.

 

 

Qualifications: 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information technology, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations, engineering, or a related role.
  • Specific expertise in Tier 1 Vulnerability Management toolsets such as tenable/Qualys
  • Specific experience in driving implementation and improvements in Vulnerability Management tooling: design, rollout, driving operational dashboards and remediation activities
  • Deep understanding of incident response, threat detection, and risk assessment.
  • Supporting experience on cloud security, network security, and endpoint security solutions.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, OSCP, GIAC) are a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication and leadership capabilities
  • Experience in mentoring other technical specialists from junior to senior level
  • Self-motivated and able to propose designs/solutions with minimal supervision and guidance
