Purpose of Role:
As a People Business Partner, you’ll help shape an engaging, high-performing workplace. From talent to culture to development, you’ll work closely with leaders to drive meaningful people strategies that support growth, collaboration, and employee well-being—making Inchcape not just a place to work, but a place to thrive.
Job Role and Responsibilities:
Strategic HR Partnering
- Develop a deep understanding of the business objectives, challenges, and priorities to align HR strategies with organizational goals.
- Work closely with platform leaders to provide expert guidance on HR matters, including talent review, capacity planning, and performance improvement.
Talent and Performance Management
- Collaborate with the talent acquisition team to attract, hire, and onboard top talent that fits the organization's culture and skill requirements.
- Implement performance management processes, including goal-setting, performance reviews, and employee development plans.
- Identify high-potential employees and work on succession planning to ensure a strong leadership pipeline.
Engagement
- Plan and execute monthly DDC engagement activities, assisting with planning, conceptualization and execution.
- POC for vendor management during big events (Anniversary and Holiday Party)
Employee Relation
- Act as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, providing guidance and support on HR policies, procedures, and employment laws.
- Handle employee relations matter, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions and investigations, ensuring fair and consistent treatment.
Organizational Development
- Partner with business leaders to assess organizational needs and develop solutions that enhance employee engagement, retention, and productivity.
- Drive initiatives related to organizational culture, diversity and inclusion, and employee well-being.
Change Management
- Support the implementation of organizational changes, such as restructuring, mergers or process improvements, by communicating effectively with employees and managing potential resistance.
HR Analytics
- Utilize HR data and metrics such as ENPS, Attrition report, Exit Interview responses, Market reviews - to identify trends, provide insights, and make data-driven recommendations to improve HR processes and decision-making.
Compliance and Policies
- Updated with employment laws and regulations to ensure HR policies, practices, and procedures are in compliance with legal requirements.
- Keeps oneself updated with industry trends and mandatory requirements, particularly in the field of Total Rewards and compensation management.
- Update and maintain HR policies and guidelines as needed.
- Expert on statutory compliance and local workforce management.
Training and Development
- Identify training needs and work with the Capability and Development team to design and deliver appropriate training programs to enhance employee skills and capabilities.
All ad hoc tasks assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certifications (e.g., SHRM, CIPD) are a plus
- At least 5 years of progressive HR experience, with a strong background in business partnering or generalist roles
- Proven ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and influence at all levels of the organization
- Solid knowledge of Philippine labor laws and HR best practices
- Strong experience in employee relations, talent management, and organizational development
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret HR data and provide strategic insights
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Proactive, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
