What you’ll do

  • Lead, motivate, and support your Service Team to deliver high-quality workmanship, strong productivity, and outstanding results.
  • Build trusted customer relationships and ensure every customer receives an easy, effective, and enjoyable service experience.
  • Oversee day-to-day service operations, including workshop productivity, staff rostering, customer communication, and process compliance.
  • Review service bookings daily and partner with the Workshop Controller to maximise workshop utilisation and efficiency.
  • Monitor site performance, expenses, and KPIs, implementing strategies to improve productivity, revenue, and cost control.
  • Ensure high standards of presentation within the Service Centre, including parts displays and customer-facing areas.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of assigned brands, products, and competitor offerings.
  • Ensure consistent adherence to Inchcape policies, the Code of Conduct, and all WHS requirements.

 

About you

  • Proven experience as a Service Manager leading a high-performing automotive service team.
  • Experience in the automotive industry is essential.
  • A confident and resilient leader who can navigate challenges, support your team through change, and maintain high standards in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong background in customer-facing roles with the ability to build rapport and deliver exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Solid knowledge of automotive service operations, workshop processes, and OEM requirements.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • High attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills and the confidence to make sound decisions.
  • Comfortable using MS Office and digital platforms; ERA Net experience is desirable.
  • Current driver’s licence is essential; a qualified Service Technician/Mechanic is desirable.
  • A positive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and supporting team success.
