SUMMARY:

 

The Commercial Finance Manager serves as a key member of the management team. This role places a premium on strategic and inspirational finance leadership and a deep commitment and understanding of the Philippines' markets.   

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Finance Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will drive financial planning, analysis, and reporting processes while providing actionable insights to enhance decision-making and business performance. Experience in the automotive industry, retail, or manufacturing industries is a significant advantage.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Strategic business partner.

Act as a strategic and analytical thought partner and strategic advisor to the local leadership team on various financial, strategic, operational, IT, and organizational issues that will influence Inchcape’s growth and performance in the Philippines.

 

  • Operational Finance. 

Partner with management teams to develop and manage the company’s key operating mechanisms. Partner with commercial and operational finance leaders to provide relevant and timely analysis, benchmarks, and business insights that inform business decisions and drive profitable growth. Develop and review financial forecasts with management to ensure business performance meets expectations. Recommend actions for improvement as appropriate.

 

  • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain the annual budget and forecasting processes.
    • Analyse financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying key variances and trends.
    • Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management to support strategic decision-making.
    • Assist in developing financial models and scenario analysis for various business initiatives.
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights to improve financial performance.
  • Data Analysis:
    • Conduct in-depth data analysis to uncover insights and trends that drive business growth.
    • Translate complex data into actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
    • Perform ad-hoc analysis to support various departments and initiatives.
  • Industry Expertise (Automotive or Retail)
    • Leverage your industry-specific knowledge to provide valuable insights and recommendations.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, benchmarks, and best practices to support strategic planning.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce manual workload through automation and the use of advanced analytics.
    • Implement best practices in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, ensuring continuous improvement within the finance function.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in FP&A and Business partner.
  • Experience in the automotive or retail industry is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Python).
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (SAP or Oracle).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and adapt to a dynamic work environment
