Role Overview:
As the Communications Manager for the South Asia & Pacific cluster, you will play a key role in shaping and executing strategic communications initiatives to support the region’s growth and transformation agenda. The South Asia & Pacific cluster, as the growth hub within Inchcape’s Asia-Pacific region, spans Brunei, Guam & Saipan, the Philippines, and Thailand.
You will work closely with the Communications Director of South Asia and Pacific cluster, to develop and implement both internal and external communications strategies, focusing on employee communications, executive communications, corporate branding, and stakeholder management.
You as the manager, will serve as the primary communications lead for the Philippines business, ensuring alignment with the cluster’s broader strategic objectives and fostering engagement with key stakeholders across multiple levels. But secondarily, you will also help and support the South Asia & Pacific cluster Director of Communications to oversee communications across Brunei, Thailand, Guam and Saipan.
You will also be responsible for managing communication metrics and insights, to ensure effectiveness and continuous improvement in all communications efforts.
Strong cross-functional collaboration with business and functional stakeholders is critical to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Internal Communications:
- Develop and execute internal communications strategies to support business transformation, ensuring employees are informed and aligned with the organisation’s goals.
- Manage internal communication channels, including town halls, dialogue sessions, presentations, employee stories, and videos to drive engagement across the cluster.
- Collaborate with business leaders and teams to communicate organisational changes and culture initiatives, ensuring alignment with the overall business strategy.
- Build and strengthen internal communication capabilities, training leaders to improve communication effectiveness and drive employee engagement.
Executive Communications:
- Support and develop executive communications for senior leaders across the cluster, including speeches, presentations, and key messaging to engage both internal and external stakeholders.
- Help craft and deliver leadership messages that reflect Inchcape’s values and strategic direction, enhancing the visibility and reputation of the leadership team.
- Collaborate closely with senior leadership to ensure alignment on key messages and communication strategies, reinforcing the company’s vision and objectives.
Employee Communication:
- Serve as a key advisor on employee communications, ensuring messages resonate with diverse teams and support a positive organisational culture.
- Act as a communication bridge between leadership and employees, fostering transparency and trust through consistent and impactful messaging.
- Drive initiatives that promote employee engagement, recognition, and retention, using creative communication approaches to reach diverse audiences.
External Communications and PR:
- Enhance Inchcape’s corporate brand and public image by executing consistent external communication initiatives, including press releases, media events, and leadership profiling.
- Lead corporate branding efforts and manage media relationships, ensuring that Inchcape’s messages align with the company’s narrative and strategic direction.
- Oversee content development and social media strategies, including LinkedIn, to build external brand visibility and engagement.
Stakeholder Management:
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally, ensuring effective communication across all levels of the business.
- Work collaboratively with functional teams to align communication efforts with broader business strategies, ensuring consistent messaging across the cluster.
Job Requirements:
- University degree in communications, public relations, business administration, or related fields.
- Over 10 years of experience in internal communications, executive communications, employee engagement, storytelling, PR, media relations, and crisis management.
- Proven track record in managing stakeholder relationships and aligning communications with business objectives.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to drive results across diverse initiatives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Tagalog is advantageous.
- Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and a passion for driving organisational success through effective communications.
- Previous work experience in an international organisation is preferred.
