Business Unit Overview

This role will sit in the Regional FP&A Finance function, supporting our 11 markets in Europe and Africa. FP&A sits withing the Regional Finance function. The role will support a key strategic priority for the Group and our Region – to be the lowest carbon route to market for our OEM partners.

 

Position Overview

 

Support the region in data collection, sustainability project tracking, and providing business intelligence to executives and market stakeholders, for the regions Scope 1, 2 and controllable Scope 3 emissions

Market and Regional FP&A teams, Group FP&A and Sustainability teams, market controllable emissions working group leads, DAP (Power BI) team, external consultants such as the Carbon Trust

Description

New process set up

  • Develop, implement, and educate markets on new ESG reporting processes. There is an element of process transformation here as the work transitions from markets to the CoE in Manila.
  • Critically review and analyse collected market data to provide insights. Handle data volumes, run analytics, (potentially on Power BI), develop/introduce automation, etc. in conjunction with in-house Digital Analytics Team
  • Manage a forecasting model that monitors new ESG projects and prepare ESG reporting to the Regional Transformation Committee

Data Collection

 

  • Work with market Sustainability leads & FP&A to setup central data collection processes, and then work with each market to establish and standardise processes for each market to gather and ingest data
  • Work with DAP and other internal Subject Matter Experts’ (SME) to automate data ingestion, with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Collect and ingest into the carbon model, emissions data, on a monthly basis, and prepare insights for presentation to market and regional stakeholders each month
  • Assist Group FP&A and carbon trust with queries, and work with markets to close out queries

Data Quality

  • Implement an internal programme to provide confidence in the accuracy of the data submitted by markets.
  • Support any future requirements around external verification demands, by acting as point of contact, supplying data requested and fielding queries.

Business Insights

 

  • Work with the DAP team to update / feed monthly data into Power BI, to provide dashboard reporting to markets
  • Track progress on actuals vs forecast / annual plan and share insights with market and regional stakeholders
  • Prepare quarterly reforecasts based on YTD + latest project status
  • Providing project analysis support for new ESG projects, before submission to Regional Transformation Committee and /or IC

 

Communications and Engagement

 

 

  • Provide SME support to region and market stakeholders on carbon accounting (SBTI framework)
  • Deliver training (provided by Group) to new starters in markets

 

Reporting

  • Support markets in region subject to statutory reporting in preparing emissions reporting for government authorities

Experience requirements

Listed below are the experience requirements necessary to fulfil the performance requirements of this role.

Essential Requirements:

  • At least 5 years in a reporting type role

 

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience working in a multi national business
  • At least 3-4 years experience  in ESG reporting, particularly in SBTI based carbon accounting
  • Project Management experience

Essential Requirements:

  • Advanced Excel and modelling Skills

 

 

Desirable Requirements:

  • Qualification in finance, ESG, Environmental Science or similar, or equivalent on the job experience
  • Experience in automation, Power BI
