POSITION OBJECTIVE

The Finance Controlling Specialist is mainly responsible for performing complex and specialized accounting work which requires independent judgment, accounting skills, and a thorough knowledge of the activities specific to distribution business.

 

The Finance Controlling Specialist analyzes the financial stability of the organization by providing essential financial reporting and guidance to Management. In addition to accounting obligations, may be required to guide other colleagues who are generally responsible for the data produced by the company's accounting department.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Imparts advanced analysis and review of financial transactions for troubleshooting and correcting errors in the organization’s financial system
  • Support in the establishment and maintenance of cost, financial reporting and internal control procedures for the company.
  • Prepares, analyzes and ensures quality of financial reports which include but not limited to income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow report for reporting to Management.
  • Performs timely month-end close deliverables and strictly adheres to reporting due dates.
  • Prepares account reconciliation and analysis and propose necessary correcting adjusting entries.
  • Prepares bank reconciliation and analysis.
  • Performs Internal test-of-control for compliance for the General Accounting on a monthly, quarterly and annually basis as per Internal control policy.
  • Prepares and follows through month-end financial close, issues and deliverables.
  • Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking
  • Set-up income tax returns based on financial and accounting records on monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.
  • Performs Flux Analysis on Actual versus Budget income statement performance and provide detailed analytics on a bi-annual and year-to-date basis.
  • Works with external auditors and prepares audit work papers for the fiscal year audit by researching and analyzing the year-to-date accounting information.
