SUMMARY

The role of the Project Manager is to manage the projects across Asia Pacific and ensure projects are implemented, developed, and deployed based on best practices for IT project management. As the Regional Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and manage multiple workstreams within the project. You will drive the project team and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. Your role will involve overseeing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

A. Scope

  • Manage multiple projects across the Asia Pacific concurrently.
  • Improve the quality of project execution by ensuring projects are executed using defined project methodologies, tools, and governance structures.
  • Prioritise project efforts based on business value and direction.
  • Communicate methodology, processes, tools & ways of working to IT project teams.
  • Ensure the right projects are done right, with strong business stakeholder engagement.

B. Strategy & Planning

  • Document the scope, goals, and deliverables of IT projects should support business goals, in collaboration with key stakeholders and management.
  • Effectively communicate and manage project expectations to workstream project managers, owners, sponsors, team members, and other stakeholders clearly and concisely.
  • Establish project timelines and milestones/deliverables using the appropriate tools.

C. Operational Management

  • Direct and manage the development of all IT projects within the PMO portfolio from beginning to end.
  • Support the development of best practices, techniques, and tools for project planning, execution, project management, ongoing milestone/deliverable tracking, communication, and key performance metrics.
  • Track and monitor project milestones and deliverables.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths.
  • Develop status reports, change requests, and requirements documentation to ensure smooth project progression.
  • Participate in project postmortems and create a recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within and between various project teams.

QUALIFICATIONS

A. Education

  • University degree or college diploma in the field of computer science and/or 10 years of equivalent work experience.

B. Licensure and Certification

  • Certifications in PMI, PMI-ACP, and Agile techniques are advantageous.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • 5-6 years of direct work experience in a technology project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution.
  • Strong familiarity with project management & productivity software, such as Office 365, Jira Software and Confluence, etc.
  • Familiarity with financial software or systems including procurement and advanced Excel.
  • Competent and proficient understanding of modern technology platforms: Eg. Cloud services, Networks, communications systems, ERPs, etc. would be advantageous.
  • Solid understanding of IT infrastructure technologies, systems, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in personnel management.
  • Experience working on complex technology projects, technology migrations, and data management.
  • Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, Office 365, MS Projects

WORK CONDITIONS

  • Availability to work in different time zones.
  • Some after-hours work will be required to join online meetings with global team members.
