Job Title: Toolman / Parts Warehouseman

Location: Philippines
Department: Aftersales / Service Operations
Reports To: Workshop Supervisor / Parts Manager


Role Purpose

Ensure efficient control, storage, issuance, and maintenance of workshop tools and parts inventory. Support smooth workshop operations by making sure technicians have the right tools and parts available when needed, while maintaining accurate inventory records and proper storage standards.


Key Responsibilities

Tool Management

  • Issue and receive workshop tools to/from technicians daily
  • Maintain a complete and updated tool inventory list
  • Monitor tool condition and arrange repairs or replacements as needed
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and organization of all tools
  • Track tool usage and accountability per technician

Parts Warehouse Operations

  • Receive, inspect, and store incoming parts following company standards
  • Pick, pack, and release parts for service and repair jobs
  • Ensure correct documentation and system transactions for all parts movements
  • Maintain proper binning, labeling, and housekeeping of the warehouse
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and assist in full inventory audits

Inventory Control

  • Monitor stock levels and report low or critical items
  • Ensure accuracy of inventory records in the system
  • Support parts ordering and replenishment processes
  • Minimize discrepancies, losses, and obsolete stock

Compliance & Safety

  • Follow safety standards in handling tools, equipment, and parts
  • Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free storage areas
  • Adhere to OEM and company guidelines for parts and tool handling

Coordination

  • Work closely with Service Advisors and Technicians to ensure timely parts availability
  • Coordinate with Parts Team for stock availability and urgent requirements
  • Support workshop efficiency by reducing delays related to tools and parts

Qualifications

  • At least a Technical/Vocational Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in automotive workshop, parts warehouse, or similar role preferred
  • Basic knowledge of automotive parts and tools (luxury brand exposure is a plus)
  • Familiarity with inventory systems or ERP is an advantage

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Basic computer skills (inventory systems, MS Excel)
  • Good coordination and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced workshop environment
  • Integrity and accountability in handling tools and inventory
