SUMMARY
ESSENTIAL DUTIES

 

1. Daily Cash - APAC

  • Reviews daily cash for total APAC and ensures excess liquidity is repatriated timely to Group
  • Maintains active conversation with local finance counterparts to ensure process / structural challenges in managing excess cash are addressed
  • For any excess cash retained onshore, identifies opportunities to improve interest income, reduce interest expense, or both
  • Reviews and proposes efficient bank and liquidity structures, ensuring operational efficiency is managed alongside strategic banking concerns

 

2. Daily Cash - UK

  • Reviews inputs to and prepares daily cash plan for selected UK entities; reviews daily cash movement in order to chase variance drivers with markets
  • Coordinates approvals and documentation for RCF drawdown or short-term placement activities; advises bank for any urgent / special requests as aligned with Group Treasury Operations Manager
  • Executes deals in BBG in support of net daily cash position

 

3. Liquidity

  • Monitors liquidity gaps across APAC markets and works with local finance to ensures appropriate plans are developed to address such gaps

 

4. Financing

  • Supports the set-up of appropriate working capital facilities to support OEM relationships and in-country working capital needs; regularly reviews business plans with stakeholders to ensure emerging issues are addressed, including sufficiency of SRC to sustain business plans
  • Reviews SRC terms and conditions with Head of Regional Treasury to guarantee correct accounting treatment and adherence to global guidance
  • Performs periodic check of SRC outstanding to validate terms and conditions appropriately match SRC criteria

 

5. Foreign Exchange Management

  • Prepares the monthly APAC Hedge Model report; monitors FX currency exposures and hedge cover across APAC markets, and drives market compliance to FX Policy
  • Ensures executed trades are compliant with relevant Treasury policies, internal controls and country / Central Bank regulations
  • Works closely with regional and local financial controller to ensure that compliance with IAS 39 CF hedge accounting is achieved
  • Prepares hedge Accounting entries (Australasia only)

 

6. Bank relationship management

  • Sustains ongoing engagement with relationship banks on bank products
  • Reviews interest and bank fees across region and works with local teams identify opportunities to improve pricing

 

7. Others

  • Supports M & A, integration projects and other corporate initiatives

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • College level, major in Business, Mathematics, Economics or related field

 

Experience

  • Previous Corporate Treasury or Banking experience required
  • Exposure to Global / Regional Treasury Operations an advantage

 

Licensure and Certification

  • Certified Treasury Professional or its equivalent
