Role Purpose
The Workshop Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily workshop operations, ensuring efficient service delivery, high-quality repairs, and compliance with brand standards for CDJR vehicles. This role leads technicians, manages workflow, and drives productivity, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
1. Workshop Operations

Supervise day-to-day workshop activities to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance

Allocate jobs to technicians based on skill level and workload

Monitor work progress and ensure adherence to service schedules
2. Technical Oversight

Provide guidance and technical support to technicians on complex repairs

Ensure all work complies with CDJR manufacturer standards and procedures

Conduct quality checks on completed jobs before vehicle release
3. Team Leadership

Lead, coach, and develop workshop technicians and support staff

Monitor individual and team performance (productivity, efficiency, quality)

Identify training needs and coordinate technical training programs
4. Customer Service Support

Work closely with Service Advisors to ensure accurate diagnosis and repair timelines

Assist in handling escalated customer concerns related to technical issues
-
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
5. Health, Safety & Compliance
-
Enforce safety standards and proper use of tools and equipment
-
Ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations
-
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment
6. Performance & Reporting
-
Track and report key workshop KPIs (e.g., productivity, efficiency, turnaround time)

Support achievement of aftersales revenue and profitability targets

Monitor parts usage and coordinate with Parts Department
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Technology, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
-
Relevant certifications in automotive service/repair (CDJR certification is an advantage)

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in automotive workshop operations, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role
