Our Sales Team is seeking a Sales Manager, Pre-owned to join our team in Singapore. In this position you will collaborate with a dynamic, diverse team to deliver exceptional service and repairs bringing your expertise and passion for quality to drive your career forward.

 

 

What you’ll do

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Pre-Owned, you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end operations and performance of the pre-owned Sales team, ensuring operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and achievement of commercial targets.

 

1. Business Strategy & Operational Planning

  • Lead the planning and execution of strategic initiatives for the pre-owned business, including sales performance, operational workflows, and customer experience improvements.
  • Drive business objectives in alignment with Inchcape’s strategic priorities.
  • Oversee the full vehicle sales cycle—from vehicle acquisition, valuation, refurbishment readiness, pricing, merchandising, to final sales and post sales.

 

2. Sales Performance & Commercial Management

  • Execute operational plans to deliver revenue, margin, and profitability targets for the pre-owned division.
  • Participate in vehicle pricing strategy, margin optimization, and promotion planning.
  • Ensure achievement of KPIs such as stock turn, margin per unit, customer satisfaction, and finance/insurance penetration.

 

3. Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop the pre-owned Sales team to drive high performance and professional growth.
  • Instill a strong sales culture with emphasis on accountability, customer centricity, and operational discipline.
  • Provide guidance on negotiations, trade-in assessments, and complex deal structuring.

 

4. Customer Experience Management

  • Handle escalated customer enquiries, feedback, compliments, and complaints with professionalism and ownership to safeguard brand reputation.
  • Implement customer focused initiatives to enhance the pre-owned customer journey.
  • Drive consistent delivery of premium service standards throughout the sales process.

 

5. Showroom & Operational Excellence

  • Oversee showroom operations to ensure optimal presentation, and compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure processes are adhered to documentation accuracy, trade in workflows, handover quality, and vehicle readiness.
  • Collaborate with service, logistics, quality, and valuation teams to ensure seamless pre-owned operations.

 

6. Cross Functional Collaboration & Projects

  • Partner with internal stakeholders including Marketing, Aftersales, Finance, and Operations to support business objectives.
  • Participate in and lead assigned functional or cross department initiatives aimed at process improvement and business growth.

 

 

About you

 

  • Degree in any discipline is preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of Sales & People Management experience, ideally within automotive, retail, or related industries.
  • Proven track record in sales leadership, achieving performance targets, and managing customer-facing teams.
  • Experience in pre-owned automotive and valuation will be an advantage.
  • Strong leadership capabilities to lead, motivate, coach, and drive the performance of a sales team.
  • Excellent communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset, proactive and customer focused.
  • Highly dependable, accountable, and goal oriented.
