Work Schedule : 9.00 am - 6.00 pm (Monday - Friday), occasionally on weekends job

 

Job Responsibilities

  • You will be reporting directly to the Manager of Purchasing & Wholesale (Value Chain), responsible for the overall success of the pre-owned car business in the market in terms of sales performance and market share growth.

  • Manage Used Vehicle Inventory: Oversee both retail and wholesale inventory of used vehicles, including open market sourcing, reconditioning, and pricing.

  • Valuation Process: Ensure that every valuation of used car purchases is align with the company's best interests.

  • Dealer Management: Manage relationships with a panel of dealers to stay informed about buying trends and prices, thereby mitigating future risks.

  • Performance Tracking: Monitor and evaluate the performance of Procurement Executives, focusing on metrics such as new car trade-in penetration, gross profit per unit (GPU), retail purchases, and incentives.

  • Budget Management: Ensure that refurbishment costs are controlled within budgetary constraints and comply with retail standards.

  • Pricing Strategy: Develop and implement pricing strategies for retail vehicles, continuously monitoring market prices to facilitate quick stock turnover.

  • Manage Company Fleet: Oversee the management of company fleet vehicles, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and budgetary constraints.

  • Collaboration with Marketing: Work closely with the marketing team on open market strategy and campaigns.

  • Project Management:  Lead the launch of new projects and initiatives, including export and AI valuation projects, to enhance operational efficiency and profitability.

  • Drive business outcomes through strong stakeholder management of both internal and external stakeholders through leadership and influencing skills.

  • You will also be assigned functional related ad-hoc projects and duties from time to time, and you will collaborate with inter-depts to ensure targets / objectives are met.

 

Job requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of Sales & automotive experience.

  • Minimum diploma qualifications and above.

  • Stakeholder management, negotiation, and decision-making skills.

  • Possess leadership skills to lead, motivate and manage the procurement team.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail. Positive approach towards problem solving.

  • Proactive, engaging, goal focused, dependability, strong leadership, accountability.

  • A team player who takes ownership of his/her actions and anticipate the future to lead the teams to meet company’s objectives.
