PURPOSE OF ROLE
The Regional S&OP Lead scope covers all aspects of new product inventory planning - New Vehicles, Spare Parts and Machinery within the distribution business, effectively from OEM to delivery to dealers / retail.
The primary objective of the role is to optimise new vehicle and parts stock across APAC through:
•Delivery of effective S&OP processes in line with the Global S&OP Playbook(s) across the APAC Region.
•Roll out S&OP practices and Playbook to Parts operations in all markets in APAC
•Driving Continuous Improvement including the development of individuals S&OP capabilities.
•Provision of Regional level Insight and Analysis, as required, including Global benchmarking
•Plan and deliver the regional deployment of the Global S&OP Playbook to new markets and brands and any future enhancements.
•Supporting markets to improve their S&OP capability

JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Playbook

Ensure:
• Working with Global Team ensure the Global Playbook evolves in line with regional business needs.
• Extends to cover Parts as well as New Vehicles
• It is clearly understood by all users, appropriate to their role within the S&OP process.
• The Region is fully compliant.
• All users are using the tool kit to its full potential

 

Standards

  • Lead the setting and alignment of market / brand level annual targets for S&OP KPI’s – then ensure delivery against them.
  • Lead all Stock Calls to review compliance to standards, provide challenge and steer to markets and feedback constructively on execution.
  • Constantly benchmarking the regional performance (quantitative and qualitative) against global and regional standards.
  • Ensure all Market actions are collated and followed through to conclusion
  • Be a champion of master data accuracy across all markets

 

S&OP Capabilities

  • Parts teams to be supported to operate to same standards and processes as New Vehicles
  • Facilitate a strong Regional S&OP Community and drive best practise.
  • Leveraging Global Maturity matrix, work with market teams to identify gaps in capabilities and to ensure they are closed via leading training and leveraging S&OP Community events. N.B: The scope here extends beyond Market S&OP Leads to other functions touched by S&OP.
  • Scenario Planning: Ability to create and evaluate different scenarios to prepare for various market conditions
  • Forward-looking approach: focus on future outcomes and strategic cross business decisions rather than just historical or short-term data.
  • Change Management: Ability to manage and drive change within the organisation, ensuring all departments are aligned with the S&OP Process.
  • Create and support “S&OP Power Users” across the Region. Provide feedback in formal development reviews of all market S&OP Leads.

 

Continuous Improvement

  • Facilitate continuous performance improvement in markets, using the Global Maturity Matrix to ensure delivery at the appropriate level of maturity.
  • Identify and encourage feedback from markets to deliver improvement opportunities in the Global Playbook.
  • Work with the Global team in the development of the Global Playbook
  • Facilitate the effective contribution of other functions into the S&OP Process – Logistics, Finance, Marketing, Commercial and Product.

 

Regional Level Insight, Analysis and Reporting

  • The provision of monthly Regional S&OP performance summary insight for the Regional Leadership team. (Risk Management, Performance (internal / external), Brand / OEM Focus, opportunities etc) – In readiness for the introduction of a Regional S&OP meeting.
  • Provide insight and analysis to support the regional input into CEO/CFO meeting
  • Provide Regional S&OP input into the Distribution Excellence Steercos
  • Provide insight and analysis to support the Global S&OP Team
  • Ensure the highest quality of Master Data across all markets in the region
  • Regularity reviewing Market data to support their performance improvement

 

Deployments to New Markets and Brands and enhancements to the Global Playbook.

  • Responsible for the delivery of all regional S&OP deployments.
  • Delivery of lasting change and full adoption in all markets, via training.
  • Supporting local teams by identifying opportunities to improve capability and remove blocks
  • Requirements defined by the Global Playbook (including tool kit) and training templates

 

Ad Hoc

Additional support will be required in various ways, as and when requested by the Regional Executive

1 Cross-Functional Knowledge: To have a deep understanding of various functions such as demand planning, supply chain management, finance and product portfolio management. To achieve and develop a deep understanding of Inchcape S&OP Playbook and market operating models.
2 Leadership: Strong motivational Leadership skills, capable of leading cross functional teams and driving consensus among different departments
3 Analytical skills: proficiency in data analysis, statistical forecasting methods to improve forecast accuracy
4 Communication: Able to articulate plans, training and strategies clearly to stakeholders at all levels. Strong verbal, written and presentation skills.
