                       Purpose of role

Inchcape has set an ambition to extend our global leadership in automotive distribution and to become the undisputed number one choice of our OEMs. Distribution Excellence Vehicle Lifecycle Services are key pillars in our Accelerate Strategy. As such, transforming our operations and entering adjacent market areas are crucial to our success and this role will project manage many of those initiatives to ensure the delivery of the intended value and change adoption in our organization.

This role will play the role of the project management office to

  • Lead the project management of a global parts e-commerce solution.
  • Lead the project management of operations transformation project implementations.

The role will implement project governance, project cadence and processes, change analytics, stakeholder engagement, toolkit development, project plan development, measurement, and maintenance of the key programs.

 

Job role and responsibilities:

Governance

  • Establishing and maintaining project governance frameworks, processes, and approaches, including defining roles, responsibilities and accountabilities.
  • Identify / define teams to be involved in each project.
  • Implement the governance, including objectives, milestones, actions among others.
  • Track and in some cases lead or provide ad-hoc support for the delivery of the main activities identified to comply in each of the projects.
  • Implement and control a proper dashboard to monitor on the how projects are evolving.
  • Identify gaps in plans and suggest / implement corrective actions.
  • To incorporate standard tools / templates to help in project management control ( Jira, Confluence, others)

Project Management

  • Establish the correct rhythm for the project/s and associated stakeholder touch points, as well as establishing baselines, controls, tolerances and escalation points
  • Identify and manage critical change impacts, readiness and dependencies throughout the project/s
  • Understand, segment, map and engage stakeholders across the project/s to enact activity and engage them.
  • Bring tested and robust project and change management tools or help to develop a suite of tailored tools specific for the project.
  • Develop the project charter and required work streams to build out a detailed, integrated project plan – bringing together all activity under one master plan. Project plans should include critical paths, dependencies, and resource allocations.
  • Conduct and deliver project, or wider, change measurement.
  • Run and maintain the project. Providing strategic and tactical insight, advice and corrective action to enable quick, robust decision making and deliver the project on time.

Digital Parts Platform

  • Unique online proposition the maximise parts sales to workshops of parts provided by our OEM partners
  • Project launched in 2023 in Australia and recently launched in Hong Kong and Singapore – intention to expand globally in 2025
  • To project manage global roll out of a stand alone digital parts operation
  • To implement a proper governance to lead roll out process. ( SteerCo, cadence, agendas, others)
  • To work closely with DPP leadership and business team leaders to coordinate the delivery of planned actions and objectives achievement.

New Brand Launches:

  • The region is regularly adding to its brand portfolios in all markets and the effective launch of each brand is both strategically and operationally vital to the organization
  • This may also include leading M&A projects

Route Market Transformation

  • The region is embarking on a transformation journey to significantly improve its efficiency and profitability.
  • Project management support for  existing and developing initiatives across commercial and functional areas of the business

 

 

 

                        skills and Experience required:

 

  • B.A or engineering background, with at least four year of experience in project management roles, ideally some experience in consulting

 

  • Experience in Automotive Industry is preferred, ideally experience in Inchcape to understand the accelerate strategy and organization value drivers

 

  • Demonstrated, hands-on experience of change management and implementation of Insights.

 

  • Demonstrated strategic analytical thinking

 

  • Excellent communication skills to navigate a matrix organization, tell compelling stories with ease to senior executives, and inspire teams about things that should exist that don’t exist yet.

 

  • Intellectual curiosity to understand Auto Industry trends
