                     PURpose of role

Responsible for delivering Back Office IT Projects, aligned with the Regional, Group IT and Inchcape Accelerate strategy.

Projects in scope for the role will centre around the Back Office portfolio of SAP, Incadea DMS and several other back office (finance & HR) related solutions and will be delivered working collaboratively with the Global Inchcape ERP, DMS & Finance Systems Platform Team.

Projects will primarily include delivery of SAP FICO, VMS, Dealer Portal Incadea DMS solutions. Over time the Portfolio and Project Managers should also take responsibility for IT Technology and solutions delivery for all Back office related solutions such as SAP Success Factors (HR), Coupa P2P, Blackline, TIS and BPC (Finance Systems) for new implementations and any ongoing product enhancements.

The role will ensure all projects are delivered in line with agreed KPI’s and project objectives. You will produce and manage project plans, analyse, evaluate and mitigate risks and dependencies as well as identify resources and key constraints.

Standard project reporting, review and adherence to the defined governance framework will also be required. Strong communication skills are required for these pan-EU projects and working with Global Delivery Teams.

The role will be part of a Portfolio Team, working for the Portfolio Lead and managing Business Analyst resources allocated to the projects and will work closely with the regional and global Distribution Excellence programme teams.

Inchcape has a strong global delivery methodology through core Global Platforms and global Digital Delivery Centres (based in Asia and LatAm). A key part of this role is leveraging this delivery capability to deliver the agreed priorities.

The role also requires a pro-active mindset and be able to work successfully in the wider regional and global IT organisation to ensure project priorities are delivered using solutions that are aligned to the overall company IT strategy. Being able to influence in an international, matrix governed organisation is a key factor of success in this role.

Job role and responsibilities:






Deliver projects – SAP FICO, VMS, Dealer Portal and Incadea DMS. Future project for other back-office Finance & HR Systems.

The role will work closely with Project stakeholders and cross functional teams to plan and develop projects scope, deliverables, required resources, project budgets and timings / plans for the projects.



Develop Project Plans, identify and manage risks, issues, dependencies and project resources.
 Responsible for defining and managing migration activities, project pre-launch preparations, testing and any training requirements as well as post implementation support and BAU transition activities.



Project tracking with regular meeting/calls to capture all actions, risks, issues and form a backlog of activity.

Ensures project team receives up to date and on time information on business objectives, performance, project deliverables, milestones, processes, keeping the project documentation up to date.



Project stakeholder management and reporting to ensure all communications are defined and delivered in timely fashion.

Manage the relationship with the relevant Global Platform Delivery Teams, partners and experts for these Projects, tracking deadlines and solving the problems raised during the development, delivery and rollout phases.



Change control for project scope amendments and adherence to all aspects of defined project governance framework and delivery methodology including cost impact and budgetary responsibility.


skills and Experience required:



Prince2 or PMP certified



Minimum of 5 years of IT Project Management experience a plus, including experience working in a Global organisation and experience in managing enterprise level projects. Experience in working within a complex matrixed organisation.



 Strong ERP and Back Office solutions Project Management experience required.



Experienced in Stakeholder Management, Change Management, Reporting and Governance



 Good knowledge of SAP solutions set. Experience of DMS solutions delivery. Experience of core back-office Finance and HR Systems, e.g. SAP Success Factors, Coupa, Blackline, SAP BPC etc are preferable.
