About the job:

In this role, you will learn, develop, and apply the full range of responsibilities of a Customer Experience Specialist Trainee, while consistently delivering exceptional service to help ensure Inchcape remains Australia’s most customer‑centric automotive retailer

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Build strong product knowledge to deliver clear, informative demonstrations to customers.

  • Explain product features and benefits effectively, using strong interpersonal skills, clarifying questions, and anticipating customer needs to build relationships.

  • Provide high‑quality customer service for in‑store enquiries and support the team with questions about vehicles, aftermarket products, and financial services.

  • Attend customer appointments, assist with test drives, and support the delivery/handover process.

  • Prepare and process sales contracts, trade‑in documentation, and delivery‑day paperwork as required.

  • Use web‑based systems, Salesforce, and the DMS to accurately capture customer information, support valuations, and assist the team in meeting customer satisfaction and reputation goals.


About you:

  • Strong interest or experience in sales, retail, or the automotive industry, supported by exceptional customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of customers.

  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and confidence using digital platforms, with strong attention to detail, multitasking ability, and excellent organisational skills.

  • Valid driver’s licence, with a willingness to learn, collaborate, and consistently deliver high‑quality customer experiences while maintaining professionalism, integrity, and passion for the products.

  • Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities, demonstrating sound judgment, adaptability to different customer needs, and a commitment to ensuring customer satisfaction through accurate and reliable work.
