Position Overview

Inchcape is embarking on a new phase of the Group’s strategy known as “Accelerate” to be the undisputed number one for our OEM partners and customers. At the heart of the strategy is Inchcape’s digital transformation through a connected omnichannel customer journey.

 

The role is to analyse market trends, identify and deliver critical strategic initiatives that drive growth and transformation in the areas of Distribution Excellence and Vehicle Lifecycle Services. The key is to create the most effective and efficient the route to market and leading change to deliver a customer centric omnichannel.

 

In addition, the role is responsible for delivering our growth agenda through M&A opportunities, new OEM contracts and NSC conversions within the Australasian cluster.

 

Key Responsibility

Program Portfolio Management

  • Oversee and manage the portfolio of programs and initiatives developed to achieve the cluster’s strategic objectives.
  • Strategic planning, resource allocation, risk management, and ensures the successful delivery of the programs.
  • Drive execution in top multi-function initiatives through the PMO, provide insights, governance and progress tracking.

Strategy

  • Lead the development of the organisation’s strategic goals and plan collaborating with the IAL executive leadership team, which outlines the actions and resources needed to achieve all facets of the Accelerate Strategy and drive sustainable improvements.
  • Execute the transformational strategy to deliver the organization's transformation objectives and target operating model to be distribution led.
  • Work with other Inchcape MDs to identify synergies across the value chain and opportunities within the group.

Business Development

  • Lead the team to incubate new business opportunities to accelerate our response to bring in new OEM contracts, M&A opportunities, national sales company conversions and work closely to transition these opportunities into the market.
  • Assess the feasibility of new opportunities to support business growth and gain market share.

People Leadership

  • Lead, develop and motivate the Team and ensure the team have clear performance objectives through effective goal setting and alignment to our Accelerate Strategy and Annual Operating Plans.
  • Actively coach and develop leaders to build capability. Drive talent management through development plans, succession plans and project work.
  • Build a high-performance culture through One Inchcape Values and behaviours and holds the team accountable for living our values and demonstrating behaviours.
  • Evaluate and ensure the talent and professional development required to achieve the distribution business objectives is in place.

Change Management

  • Champion the importance of change management, fostering a mindset of continuous improvement throughout the organisation.
  • Develop and lead wholistic change management strategies to ensure successful adoption of new processes and practices.

 

Experience Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as business, finance, or economics.
  • Master’s in business administration (MBA) or a master’s in strategy
  • 10+years experience in transformation, strategy, and project management, preferably in a top-tier management consultancy firm.
  • have a proven track record of developing and implementing successful strategic plans and have experience leading teams and managing large-scale projects.
  • in a fast-paced, dynamic, global organisation.

 

Competency requirements

  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to inspire and motivate others within a matrix structure.
  • Expertise in program management with financial and budget management experience in a transformational environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to turn complex data into information and insights.
  • Leader in change management, able to lead cross-functional teams through complex change and manage conflicts effectively.
  • Demonstrating a flexible approach that can contribute at both strategic and tactical level and effectively engage at all levels within the organisation.
  • Ability to analyse business challenges with a data-driven approach and communicate actionable recommendations to business leaders.
  • Ability to shape and influence business transformation at a global level.
