Team Leader

We are seeking a proactive and motivated Team Leader to oversee and manage the activities involved in receiving, storage, processing, and distribution of vehicles. In this role, you will ensure the delivery of quality finished vehicles, meeting agreed service levels for major brands while adapting to the present and future needs of our customers. This is a key opportunity to take ownership of vehicle processing operations and drive continuous improvements in a dynamic environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vehicle Processing:
    • Coordinate the survey of all inbound vehicles to ensure proper receipt and inspection.
    • Perform checks for paint damage, missing parts, and other issues to ensure vehicle quality.
    • Organize and lead the team in receiving vehicles, allocating tasks, and prioritizing workflow.
    • Plan and manage the storage yard efficiently to accommodate incoming shipments.
    • Ensure that vehicles are parked in the designated areas after checks are complete.
    • Complete administrative duties associated with vehicle processing and ensure accuracy.
  • Customer Service & Quality Control:
    • Ensure all customer service levels are met by conducting thorough inspections before vehicle dispatch.
    • Liaise with transport providers to track shipment progress and report any maintenance issues.
  • Team Management & Staffing:
    • Advise the Operations Supervisor on staffing needs during peak periods, including casuals and overtime.
    • Identify areas for continuous improvement within the processing area to drive productivity.
  • Collaboration & Reporting:
    • Work closely with the Operations Supervisor to track task completion and production reporting.
    • Liaise with Management on team performance, addressing any challenges or performance issues and developing action plans for improvement.
