We believe in the power of people to drive our success and are seeking an experienced Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst to join our Finance team to support our retail business. 
 

About the Role:
 

This role sits within the Treasury and FP&A team at IAL (Group). The key focus of this role is to manage all day-to-day banking and treasury requirements.
 

You will be responsible for budgeting and forecasting, review and implementation of price structures, monthly gross profit analysis (pricing, volume and mix analysis), weekly and monthly reporting and providing commercial advice to the business.


To highlight further you will:
 

  • Consolidate and review the weekly and quarterly forecasts, Annual Operating Plan and long-term strategic plan, in a timely manner, with a high degree of accuracy. Detailed understanding and explanation of material variances to prior forecasts and/or prior period actuals. Gross margin review of value drivers, maintenance of incentive schemes and KPI matrix
  • Maintenance of AUS and NZ forward and swap FX contracts and hedging documentation for the purchase of imported vehicles and parts denominated in foreign currency. 
  • Reconciliation of Finance and Insurance commissions
  • Management of floorplan financing facilities including payout and reconciliations
  • Manage daily banking requirements including all maintenance and administration
  • Compliance with Treasury internal control requirements.
  • Ad hoc requests


You will have: 
 

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • CA/CPA qualified
  • Demonstrated post professional experience in a similar role
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and precision in financial analysis
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights communicating effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence decision-making processes.
  • Proactive attitude, self motivated, with a willingness to take initiative, be curious and drive improvement in an ever changing, fast paced dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and BI tools (Power BI) advantageous. 
  • Experience with FX transactions and derivatives
  • Experience working with offshore shared services teams
