- Own end-to-end data science workstreams, translating business challenges into practical analytical and machine learning solutions.
- Assess data readiness, modeling feasibility, risks, assumptions, and implementation constraints before development.
- Design and develop forecasting, prediction, optimization, recommendation, and decision-support models using maintainable and reusable approaches.
- Lead model validation activities including backtesting, benchmarking, robustness testing, sensitivity analysis, and evaluation of alternative methods.
- Partner with Product, Data Engineering, and MLOps teams to support deployment, monitoring, model refreshes, and continuous improvement.
- Communicate technical findings, assumptions, limitations, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Provide technical guidance, peer reviews, and mentoring to junior Data Scientists while contributing to a culture of knowledge sharing.
About you
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar applied analytics role.
- Strong knowledge of statistics, machine learning, forecasting, optimization, and decision science methods.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience building maintainable and reproducible code.
- Experience with Azure, Databricks, or similar cloud analytics platforms, including collaboration with Data Engineering and MLOps teams.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
