- Monitor and investigate security alerts across SIEM, EDR, email security, and other security monitoring platforms.
- Perform initial alert triage using established SOC playbooks, runbooks, and operating procedures.
- Collect and document critical investigation data, including indicators of compromise, user and host information, timelines, and supporting evidence.
- Escalate suspected or confirmed security incidents to senior analysts and SOC leadership with clear and accurate reporting.
- Assist in investigations involving phishing, malware, account compromise, and endpoint security incidents under the guidance of experienced analysts.
- Maintain accurate case records, tickets, incident documentation, and contribute to shift handovers and daily SOC operations.
- Participate in shift rotations and support the continuous improvement of threat detection and incident response processes.
About you
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat detection, and security monitoring concepts
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals, operating systems, and enterprise technologies including Windows, Linux, cloud, and identity platforms
- Familiarity with security tools such as SIEM, EDR, SOAR, email security, and ITSM solutions is advantageous
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to follow structured processes, investigate alerts methodically, and escalate appropriately
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
