Our Digital Experience Platform is looking for a Staff Engineer (Product Engineering) to lead the technical direction of complex, production-critical systems across multiple teams. This role sits at the intersection of business strategy and system architecture, ensuring scalable, resilient, and high-performing products while reducing technical risk.
You’ll play a key role in shaping engineering excellence, solving the most complex system challenges, and enabling teams to deliver with confidence.
What you'll do
- Define and evolve architecture and technical direction across systems and teams
- Lead design of high-impact, cross-functional engineering initiatives
- Drive key technical decisions balancing business value, speed, and system healthIdentify and reduce systemic technical and operational risks
- Serve as escalation point for critical or high-risk technical issues
- Build shared platforms, patterns, and capabilities to scale team productivity
- Mentor engineers on system design, trade-offs, and technical decision-making
- Partner with engineering and product leaders on strategy and roadmap execution
About you
- Strong ability to reason about large-scale distributed systems and failure modes
- Proven experience translating business goals into clear technical strategies
- Excellent architectural judgment across multiple systems or domains
- Ability to evaluate trade-offs and prioritize technical investments effectively
- Demonstrated influence across teams without direct authority
- Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ownership mindset focused on organizational-level outcomes
- Experience operating at high complexity and scope in engineering environments
