SUMMARY

This position will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of vendors, invoices and payments. This position will also process all invoices received for payment and for undertaking the payment of all creditors in an accurate, efficient and timely manner.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Manage day-to-day accounts payable operations, including verifying, classifying, and recording financial transactions.
  • Maintain vendor relationships by responding to inquiries and ensuring timely payments.
  • Review invoices to ensure proper approvals and supporting documentation, such as signed purchase orders, receiving reports, or payment instructions.
  • Process invoices for payment, ensuring accurate coding to the appropriate general ledger accounts.
  • Execute outgoing payments via checks, ACH, and wire transfers in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and analyze monthly payments, preparing accruals as necessary.
  • Reconcile accounts payable-related accounts monthly and recommend corrective actions when needed.
  • Review intercompany transactions for accuracy and completeness, proposing journal entries as required.
  • Compile data and generate reports to support internal controls, local reporting, and corporate requirements.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to invoices or vendor statements.
  • Oversee and provide guidance to the global services team on accounts payable activities.
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects and support the finance team as needed.

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education
    • Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Experience
    • 1-3 years in accounts payable and general accounting experience
