SUMMARY
The Cashier/Collections Clerk has excellent customer service skills and is responsible for collecting and processing payments from customers and for collecting the maximum amount of overdue funds from customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Cashier/ Collections Clerk
- Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits.
- Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers.
- Reconcile
- Greet customers entering establishments.
- Assist customers by providing information and resolving their complaints.
- Answer incoming phone calls.
- Calculate total payments received during a time period and reconcile this with total sales.
- Pay company bills by cash, vouchers, or checks.
- Provide customers with general information or assistance.
- Answer telephones to direct calls or provide information.
- Record sales or transactions data
- Sort, count, and wrap currency and coins.
- Other related duties, as directed by HFA
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience:
- 1-2 years’ experience in customer service
- Valid Drivers License
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
- Knowledge of accounting software
- Knowledge of administrative and office procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms, and workplace terminology.
