SUMMARY
|
The Cashier position involves processing customer transactions, managing cash and credit sales, and performing accounts receivable tasks to ensure timely invoicing and collections.
|

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
|
- Operates cash register and process payments accurately (cash, credit, checks, etc.) and apply them to customer accounts.
- Provides excellent customer service in person and via phone, addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
- Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change to customers.
- Assist in invoicing customers and ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on outstanding invoices.
- Calculate total payments received during a time period and reconcile this with total sales.
- Greet customers entering establishment.
- Provide customers with general information or assistance.
- Answer telephone calls and direct calls to the right departments or provide information.
- Maintain accurate records of daily transactions and reconcile cash drawers.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding their accounts and payment status.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Education
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience
- 1-2 Years in Cashiering or Customer Service
