Atkins Kroll is looking for a highly organized and results-driven Fleet Manager to oversee the maintenance, availability, utilization, and operational readiness of our rental fleet. In this role, you will lead fleet personnel, coordinate vehicle maintenance activities, ensure compliance with company standards, and work closely with operations teams to maximize fleet performance and customer satisfaction.

What you'll do

 

• Lead and develop Service Agents and Fleet personnel while overseeing daily fleet operations across rental locations
• Manage fleet maintenance, preventive service schedules, repairs, recalls, vehicle inspections, and downtime to maximize vehicle availability
• Coordinate with Operations and Service teams to ensure rental vehicles are clean, safe, properly maintained, and ready for customer use
• Oversee vehicle in-fleeting and de-fleeting processes, including inspections, registrations, documentation, and inventory management
• Monitor fleet utilization, maintenance costs, damage trends, and operational performance metrics while providing reports and recommendations to management
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, vehicle registration requirements, and fleet asset control procedures
• Support staffing, scheduling, customer service, budgeting initiatives, and operational coverage to maintain efficient 24-hour fleet operations

 

About you

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Hospitality, or a related field preferred
• Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in rental operations, automotive operations, customer service, or a related field preferred
• Experience leading teams, employee scheduling, coaching, and performance management preferred
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment
• Proficiency with fleet management systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications preferred
• Valid Driver's License required
