SUMMARY

The Public Relations & Communications Specialist supports the development and execution of communication strategies that strengthen Inchcape and Atkins Kroll’s brand reputation, visibility, and community presence across the region. This role helps shape the company’s public narrative by managing media outreach, supporting corporate messaging, and coordinating and external engagement initiatives.

 

As a member of the marketing team, the Public Relations Coordinator ensures all public-facing communications reflect Atkins Kroll’s values, brand standards, and strategic priorities. The role oversees the company’s business communication channels – including media distribution, social and digital platforms, and event-related communications, while supporting media relations, responding to press inquiries, preparing talking points, and developing briefing materials for the leadership team. The coordinator also works closely with marketing strategists to ensure consistent messaging across all campaigns, product launches, and community events.

 

The Public Relations & Communications Specialist works cross-functionally with all business units and reports to the Marketing Manager, with a dotted-line relationship to the Marketing & Brand Engagement Director for strategic guidance and alignment.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

 

  1. Corporate Communications – Develop, draft, and manage the company’s corporate communications, including communication plans, press releases, statements, leadership messages, and talking points. Ensure all materials maintain brand consistency and align with company values and strategic priorities.

 

  1. Public & Media Relations – Serves as the primary liaison with media partners and press. Manage media inquiries, interview opportunities, editorial collaborations, and press-related coordination to ensure timely, accurate and credible public representation. Build and maintain strong relationships with community, media, and press partners.

 

  1. Brand Voice & Messaging – Uphold and champion the tone, voice, and style of the company across all public platforms. Ensure content reflects professionalism, integrity, and authenticity while supporting brand storytelling across campaigns and initiatives.

 

  1. Digital Communications – Oversee the company’s external communication platforms, including the website press page and other official digital communication channels, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with brand messaging. Serve as a strategic contributor to internal communications platforms, supporting company-wide announcements and leadership messaging.

 

Develop and manage content that highlights company, brand and product milestones, initiatives, achievements, people, and community impact, working in close collaboration with the rest of the marketing team to ensure consistent storytelling across channels.

 

  1. Community Relations – Plan, manage, and evaluate community partnerships, sponsorships, and outreach programs. Support programs, initiatives, and activities that align with the company’s social responsibility goals and reinforce its commitment to the community and giving back.
