In this role you will actively engage with customers that enter our Micronesian Mall store, deliver excellent customer service, gain an understanding of their transportation needs, and offer products that meet those needs from our inventory of used and new vehicles. This role requires exceptional customer service skills, strong sales abilities, and a passion for automobiles. The Sales Specialist is expected to meet sales goals, foster customer relationships, and maintain product knowledge to effectively showcase the dealership's used and new vehicle inventory.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Satisfy the transportation needs of vehicle purchasers.
Attend training/pass testing as required by Atkins Kroll’s various OEM Partners.
Obtain and nurture a minimum number of leads per month as determined by management.
Approach, greet, and offer assistance or direction to any customer who enters the Mall store.
Answer incoming phone calls and greet customers entering the store in a prompt, polite, and professional manner. Screens calls and customers, directing them to the proper party, and/or obtains enough information to allow for follow-up that is convenient for the customer.
Complete administrative duties, such as filing and records management, as needed for this role.
Maintain knowledge of basic Sales department information to act as a resource for incoming callers and walk-in customers requesting such information.
Assist customers in selecting a vehicle by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses.
Explain fully product performance, application, and benefits to prospects.
Describe all optional equipment available for customer purchase.
Offer financing options with the Company’s preferred Banking partners and seek to complete a credit application.
Offer to arrange a test drive with an AK Dealership colleague. Follow dealership procedures to obtain proper identification from customer prior to test drive.
Utilize dealership sales control and follow-up system.
Exhibit a high level of commitment to customer satisfaction.
Know and understand the federal, state, and local laws which govern retail automobile sales.
Attend product and sales training courses as requested by sales manager.
Keep abreast of new products, features, accessories, etc., and their benefits to customers.
Know and understand equity and values and is able to explain depreciation to the customer.
Ensure that the sales manager has an opportunity to meet each customer if needed.
Turn in 100 percent of closed deals to finance and insurance Personnel along with properly completed paperwork (insurance information, trade title, etc.).
Write complete sales orders and processes paperwork when needed in accordance with established dealership policies.
Arrange a smooth hand-over to Dealership colleagues for sold vehicles to facilitate Deliveries
Maintain an owner follow-up system (CRM) that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction.
Review and analyze actions at the end of each day, week, month, and year to determine how to better utilize time and plans more effectively.
Attend sales meetings as needed, and when requested.
Maintain a professional appearance and a neat work area.
Report to work on time every day as scheduled
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
Previous sales experience preferred
Licensure
Guam’s Driver’s License
