SUMMARY
To maintain accurate financial records and prepare supporting schedules for financial statement presentation according to monthly closing schedule
To process payroll accurately
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Supervise Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable positions
- assist in hiring and evaluating Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable positions
- Facilitate and complete monthly closing activities, ensuring monthly transactions are properly recorded
- Prepare bank reconciliation weekly and monthly
- Prepare cash position and report timely
- Evaluate provisions and report to Controller variances to general ledger
- Maintain schedules for prepaid accounts
- Maintain fixed assets schedule
- Review monthly reconciliations of all general ledger accounts and make recommendations for corrective action
- Prepare journal entries in the system
- Review monthly GRT Forms and supporting schedules
- Review accounts receivable aging report for delinquent accounts and report to Controller
- Review accounts payable aging report for any unpaid overdue reports and report to Controller
- Work with process owners to identify and mitigate gaps in current Processes and internal controls
- Provide training to Account Receivable and Accounts Payable positions as needed
- Assist in reviewing commission reports and reconciling discrepancies
- Assist in managing other tasks/projects as required by the Controller
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent
- Experience:
- 3-5 years’ experience in General Ledger/Financial analysis Preferred

- Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking, and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
- Knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, agency rules, and the democratic political process.
- Knowledge of administrative and office procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms, and workplace terminology.
