SUMMARY

The service agent will wash and polish car interiors and exterior by applying soap solution, scrapping loose dirt, cleaning tires, rinsing with a hose, drying, dusting and vacuuming car interiors, removing trash, cleaning seats, and polishing. Moves and cleans vehicles, keeps vehicles in sound working condition, and provides transportation for customers. Assist in various areas of the dealership as needed.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Cleans interior and exterior of vehicle, including the trunk, glove compartment, tires, windows, etc. as needed.
  • Prepare vehicle inspection sheets and conduct quality control checks with rental agents before issuing out to vehicle to customer.
  • Shuttle services for tour agent customers to and from hotels and Rental stations, Executive visitors for the Dealership, rental fleet/demo movement to and from rental locations and AK main compound. Safely transport customers as directed by rental agent or management.
  • Starts vehicles daily and reports any problems or concerns.
  • Follow up with rental vehicles maintenance/service status with internal departments or external vendors in for routine maintenance, key programming, body damage repair, or special detail services, etc., and provide update.
  • Keeps rental lot neat and orderly, moving cars as directed by dept. manager and in accordance with dealership display standards.
  • Handles customer complaints or refers to appropriate dealership employee as necessary for resolution.
  • Greets visitors, ascertains the nature of their business, and assists them or direct them to the appropriate person.
  • May assist disabled passenger(s) into and out of vehicle and loading of luggage, if needed.
  • Perform errand as directed by management.
  • Performs light maintenance on vehicles as needed, i.e., replaces windshield wiper blades, repairs or changes tires, replenishes fluids, obtain safety inspections for registration renewals, etc.
  • Keeps vehicles fueled.
  • Be available for rescues and troubleshooting for all rental/lease customers, specifically for the 24-hour operation. 
  • Work closely with Tow Truck operators during accident-related incidents that involve our rental vehicles.
  • Obtain damage/detail quotes for returned rental vehicles, when needed.
  • Follow up with PDI team on infleets of new rental vehicles and coordinate with Use Car team on defleets of old rental vehicles. This includes getting appraisal values and damage/detail estimates for the old rental vehicles and installation of license plates and accessories on new rental infleets.
  • Ensures that required forms/stickers have been completed and are properly displayed.
  • Conduct Physical Inventory car counts with Admin monthly.
  • Maintains professional appearance and neat work area.
  • Attends departmental meetings when necessary.
  • Reports to work on time every day as scheduled.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education
    • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Licensure
    • Valid Guam driver’s license
