SUMMARY

The service cashier receives payments for products or services sold by the dealership and plays a key role in maintaining or creating customer satisfaction for business transactions.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Greets customers at the cashier window in a pleasant and professional manner.
  • Receives cash, check, and credit card payments from customers.
  • Maintains detailed records of transactions, including amounts received, payment methods, and customer information.
  • Ensure that all transactions are properly documented and filed for accounting and auditing purposes.
  • Makes accurate change and issues receipts to customers and service advisors.
  • Provides refunds or credit memorandums to customers for returned merchandise or as directed by managers
  • Reconciles cash drawers daily
  • Works with service team to keep abreast of new products and services offered, their features and value, and any changes in prices.
  • Builds and maintains positive relationships with customers by providing excellent service and addressing any concerns or issues they may have in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Calculates and secures daily sales at the end of each work shift.
  • Ensures cash, check and credit cards are balanced with report.
  • Maintains knowledge of basic service department information to act as a resource for incoming callers requesting such information.
  • Operates office machines such as computers, typewriters, calculators, and copiers.
  • Makes copies of correspondence or other printed manner.
  • Provides clerical assistance as needed.
  • Attends departmental meetings as assigned.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education
    • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience
    • 1-2 years in customer service and cash-handling role
  • Licensure
    • Valid Guam Driver’s License
