SUMMARY
|
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible to work closely with the Head of Parts Manager to manage the daily distribution of the Parts operation, In charge of all equipment parts that are in the warehouse to include inventory, receiving, shipping, labelling, and stocking in proper location. Supervises, provides direction to Warehouse staff and emphasizes the safety and quality commitments of the department. Ensure compliance with AK, OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations with emphasis on hazardous materials and power industrial equipment requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
|
- Provide daily direct supervision of warehouse personnel.
- Motivate personnel for increased effectiveness as well as assist in developing a formal training program for new employees.
- Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are checked, accurate and free of damage.
- Responsible for the daily planning of loads and picking assignments for Warehouse Personnel.
- Monitor employee performance and take necessary steps to ensure goals are met by all employees.
- Ensure the efficient and safe operation of all materials handling equipment.
- Assist Operation Parts Manager in planning space utilization to meet cost standards. Continually evaluate space utilization and suggest methods for improving layout.
- Inventory management; ensure proper stock rotation and damage control.
- Ensure all records and reports regarding warehouse activity are prepared on a timely basis and effectively maintained.
- Review operating goals and standards on a daily basis.
- Ensure proper housekeeping of warehouse and inside/outside area is maintained on a daily basis
- Ensure proper security measures are in place to protect company assets/inventory.
- Process Picking Slips for front and back counters by pulling parts from bins accordingly
- Ensure accurate physical counts balance with book counts.
- Ensure all parts are labelled with correct part numbers
- Performs Inventory and Cycle Counts
- Prepares and process outbound shipments.
- Assist Operation Parts Manager in monitoring and controlling warehouse expenses.
- Answers incoming phone calls in a prompt, polite, professional manner.
- Maintains basic knowledge of all our Manufacturer Parts department information to act as a resource for incoming callers requesting such information.
- Handles special projects as instructed by the Parts manager.
- Keeps current on new products and product updates.

QUALIFICATIONS
|
- Education
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Experience
- 2+ years warehouse experience
- 1+ year supervisory experience
- Computer Literate (Microsoft Excel, Word, Emails, etc.)
- Licensure and Certification
- Must have valid driver’s license
- Forklift certified
