As Senior Accountant and Team Lead, you play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and high‑quality accounting processes across our Finnish entities.
Acting as a trusted partner to the Chief Accountant, you will combine hands‑on technical accounting expertise with people leadership and continuous improvement. Working closely with finance colleagues and business stakeholders, you will help drive consistency, efficiency, and transparency across all finance processes.
What you’ll do
Senior Accounting & Entity Ownership
• Take full end‑to‑end accounting responsibility for one Finnish legal entity
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in line with International Financial Reporting Standards (IRFS) and Group policies
• Prepare and coordinate statutory financial statements
• Act as key contact person for internal and external audits
• Coordinate and review transfer pricing documentation in cooperation with Tax and Group teams
• Identify and resolve accounting issues, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and data integrity
Team Leadership – Account Payable & Accounts Receivable (AP & AR)
• Provide functional leadership and daily support to AP and AR accountants across all Finnish entities
• Guide the team on accounting, system, and process‑related matters
• Oversee AP and AR processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance
• Monitor aged balances and drive resolution of open and overdue items
• Regularly review AP/AR ageing and overall ledger quality
• Act as escalation point for complex AP/AR issues and cross‑functional topics
Controls, Reconciliations & Quality
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations hands‑on
• Ensure reconciliation quality, completeness, and timely completion
• Own the accuracy and timeliness of Internal Controls reporting
• Identify risks, gaps, and areas for improvement within finance processes
Process Improvement & Development
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve accounting and AP–AR processes
• Initiate and support process improvements and standardisation
• Participate in finance projects, system changes, and automation initiatives
• Promote a continuous improvement mindset within the team
Collaboration & Business Partnership
• Act as a reliable and proactive partner to the Chief Accountant
• Support finance initiatives and change activities
• Work closely with business stakeholders to provide professional, solution‑oriented support
• Foster open communication and strong collaboration across teams
About you
Experience & Skills

Qualified accountant with 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in an international environment

Strong knowledge of IFRS, local tax regulations, and statutory reporting

Experience in audits and financial statement preparation

Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems; SAP experience is an advantage

Fluency in both Finnish and English (Spoken & Written)
