What you'll do:
To lead and manage all activities within the Vehicle Preparation Center (VPC) for multiple brand, ensuring timely and high-quality preparation of vehicles for delivery to dealers and customers. This role is responsible for overseeing pre-delivery inspections (PDI), quality assurance, accessory installations, process optimization, and compliance with safety, regulatory, and brand standards.
Operational Management
Manage the daily operations of the Vehicle Preparation Center to ensure vehicles are prepared, inspected, and delivered on schedule.
Oversee the Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) process to maintain compliance with manufacturer and regulatory standards.
Plan and manage workflow to meet volume requirements while maintaining high quality and efficiency.
Monitor inventory of tools, equipment, and accessories required for vehicle preparation.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
Ensure all vehicles meet quality and safety standards before delivery to dealers or customers.
Implement and maintain processes to detect, report, and resolve defects or non-conformities.
Ensure adherence to local regulations, environmental standards, and occupational health and safety requirements.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inspections, repairs, and accessory installations.
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, train, and develop VPC staff to achieve operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Monitor team performance, set objectives, and conduct regular performance reviews.
Promote a culture of safety, quality, and accountability within the VPC.
Process Improvement & Efficiency
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve vehicle turnaround time.
Leverage data and KPIs to monitor performance and identify opportunities for operational enhancements.
Collaborate with other departments (Logistics, Warehouse, Sales, Service) to streamline processes.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
Work closely with dealers, logistics providers, and suppliers to ensure smooth operations and on-time deliveries.
Liaise with manufacturers regarding technical updates, recalls, and process improvements.
Provide regular updates and reports to the Senior Operations Manager on VPC performance and issues.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Proven track record in managing high-volume vehicle preparation operations.
Experience in quality assurance, process improvement, and team leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
5–7 years of experience in automotive operations, pre-delivery inspection, or vehicle processing centers.
Knowledge of vehicle systems, quality inspection procedures, and PDI processes.
