To strengthen our financial team, we are looking for an eager‑to‑learn Junior Accountant who wants to make an impact and evolve within the world of finance. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate financial processes and reporting. You will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders and gain hands‑on experience across the full accounting cycle.
What you’ll do:
- Preparing financial data required for monthly and annual closures to ensure that all figures are timely and accurate.
- Assisting in the preparation of documents for tax returns, such as VAT and corporate taxes, by gathering and verifying relevant information for accuracy.
- Providing support during audits by preparing the necessary documentation, making financial data available, and addressing auditors’ questions.
- Contributing to the preparation of the annual accounts.
- Identifying inefficiencies in financial processes and suggesting improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintaining communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure clear communication on financial matters.
About you
- You have a solid economic or financial background and a basic understanding of accounting principles.
- Experience in finance or accounting is a plus, not a requirement.
- Fluent in Dutch or French, with a good command of English.
- Handles recurring tasks independently and recognizes when clarification or escalation is needed.
- Communicates transparently and ensures stakeholders receive accurate and understandable financial information.
- Demonstrates digital readiness with basic Excel knowledge and a strong willingness to further develop technical skills through training.
