Our Distribution Excellence team is seeking a Regional Sales Lead to join our team in Barbados. In this position you will lead an efficient and profitable sales department through achieving established business objectives.
What you’ll do:
- Contribute to setting sales and financial targets and report on performance against targets.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and dealers.
- Maintain required reporting schedules for suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer requirements that impact sales operations.
- Support negotiations for new products, product specifications, and market pricing.
- Collaborate with suppliers to secure marketing materials and coordinate with the Digital Marketing team for campaign execution.
- Develop and implement plans to expand dealer representation where brand coverage is insufficient.
- Meet with dealers regularly, both in person and virtually.
- Partner with the Regional Network Manager to ensure dealership facilities and processes meet brand standards.
- Monitor market share within relevant segments and identify opportunities to increase sales volume.
- Develop and maintain dealer price lists in line with company margin structures.
- Track dealer sales performance, orders, and profitability against company targets.
- Support the dealer network to strengthen market positioning.
- Assist in preparing dealer meetings, sales training sessions, and sales incentive programs.
- Work closely with the Marketing team to ensure brand-aligned marketing strategies are effectively executed.
- Monitor sales and inventory levels in alignment with market conditions and the S&OP process.
- Lead successful product launches across applicable markets.
- Collaborate with Finance to support timely collections and effective accounts receivable management.
- Travel throughout the Inchcape Caribbean dealer network as required.
- Coordinate with the Head of Logistics & Supply Chain to ensure timely product ordering and delivery, with a clear understanding of end-to-end logistics.
- Monitor shipping costs and assess their impact on pricing strategies.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all supplier products, services, and operating systems.
- Perform other reasonable and related duties as required.
About you
To be successful in this role you will be:
- Qualified with a B.Sc. in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
- Bringing a minimum of five (5) years of high-caliber sales experience.
- Demonstrating strong sales and customer service expertise, with proven negotiation skills.
- Financially astute, with the ability to draft and manage budgets and conduct data analysis.
- A strong leader who can motivate and drive team performance.
- An excellent communicator, both written and verbal.
- Highly organized, with strong attention to detail.
- Adaptable and able to perform effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
