Are you ready to lead the growth of Inchcape automotive retail chain in Finland?

Inchcape Finland is seeking an experienced and driven retail leader to manage our expanding operations. The goal of this position is to significantly grow our presence in the Finnish market, increase brand awareness for Inchcape’s represented brands, and expand market share. Our new car dealerships serve customers in both new and used car sales and provide brand-specific maintenance services.

We are looking for someone who is excited about building and developing a new retail chain, who wants to take full responsibility for executing the strategy, implementing efficient processes, helping each location succeed, and ensuring overall business productivity and profitability.

As Head of Retail Operations, you will be responsible for both strategic direction and operational execution, business development, collaboration with key stakeholders – and most importantly – acting as an inspiring leader for the entire team.


Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Strategy

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to support business growth and achieve sales targets.
  • Lead the retail sales team with vision and ensure alignment of operations and processes with organizational objectives.
  • Monitor industry trends, market dynamics, and competitors to identify opportunities and threats.

Operational Management

  • Oversee daily operations of existing retail locations, ensuring customer-focused and high-quality service.
  • Apply best practices in sales, inventory management, and customer relationships.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and service quality.

Expansion Projects

  • Manage the full scope of new dealership establishment projects.
  • Develop project plans covering dealership locations, staff recruitment, and operational launch.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, importers, and local authorities to ensure project success.

Network Management

  • Optimize supply chains in collaboration with importers to ensure timely availability of vehicles and spare parts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships to achieve business goals.

Team Leadership

  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, and training of sales, service, and support teams.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative work environment where people thrive and grow.
  • Ensure performance evaluations and development plans are in place and regularly updated.

Financial Management

  • Prepare and maintain budgets, ensuring operations meet financial goals and performance targets.
  • Monitor and analyze financial reports and key KPIs to support decision-making.

Supplier Relations

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Negotiate favorable contracts and ensure mutually beneficial partnerships.

Our Expectations

We are looking for someone with:

  • Relevant education for the role, preferably including an MBA.
  • Several years of leadership experience in the automotive industry, especially in retail.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the entire retail chain, including car sales, dealership management, and market dynamics.
  • Proven experience in successfully establishing new car dealerships.
  • A driven, self-directed personality with a passion for cars.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • A competitive mindset and a track record of setting and exceeding targets.
  • Fluency in both Finnish and English.
