Role Overview:

The Product Planning Manager is responsible for driving the development and execution of the Changan Philippines product portfolio strategy. This role ensures alignment with the brand’s global direction, local market needs, and long-term business goals. The manager will oversee product lifecycle planning, pricing strategies, market analysis, and coordination with HQ and internal departments to bring competitive, customer-relevant vehicles to market.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Develop and maintain the local product roadmap based on consumer trends, competitive landscape, and global Changan offerings.
  • Work closely with HQ and regional offices to align Philippine plans with global strategies.

Market Research & Analysis

  • Conduct competitor benchmarking, segment analysis, and market demand studies.
  • Provide insights into customer needs, feature preferences, and pricing sensitivities.

Model Lifecycle Management

  • Manage each product’s lifecycle from launch to discontinuation, including model upgrades, variant planning, and end-of-life strategies.

Pricing & Positioning

  • Develop pricing strategies and monitor cost structure to ensure market competitiveness and profitability.
  • Recommend pricing adjustments in response to market shifts or currency fluctuations.

Cross-functional Coordination

  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Aftersales, and Dealer Network teams to ensure successful product launches and support.
  • Coordinate with homologation and supply chain teams for product compliance and availability.

Reporting & Communication

  • Prepare business cases, product briefs, and regular performance reports.Present product strategies to local management and liaise with global product teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
  • MBA is a plus.Minimum 5 years experience in product planning, automotive marketing, or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of the automotive industry, particularly in the Philippine market.
  • Analytical mindset with strong commercial acumen.Excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills.Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools.
