Position Overview

Lead and manage the sales and operations planning process to ensure alignment of all the business units (new vehicles, used vehicles, parts and accessories) to delivery of business goals for medium to long term.

 

Key Responsibility

 

Supply and Demand Planning

  • Develops a business strategy for S&OP for new & used vehicles and parts.
  • Lead new vehicle S&OP strategy, meetings and team.
  • Identify and manage the used car sourcing strategy.
  • Manage the logistics supply chain environment.
  • Lead S&OP for parts warehousing to ensure inventory optimisation and robust set up to maintain and obtain stock holding reduction and warehousing space reduction for our OEM brands.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of new supply chain innovations, systems and technologies initiatives appropriate for the business to ensure we are at the forefront of delivering logistics and supply chain services.
  • Ensure all data generated via S&OP is accurate and timely for reporting.
  • Standardisation of processes and reporting across all operations (parts and vehicles as groups) to enable management visibility and drive further improvements.
  • Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and continuously evaluate forecast results to improve accuracy and eliminate bias.
  • Lead monthly demand review meetings, identify opportunities, risks and mitigation activities.
  • Lead and participate in cross-functional development of forecast improvement processes, tools, and systems.
  • Establishes a course of action to accomplish long-term goals and projects leveraging the Data Analytics Platform (DAP) tools for demand planning and ordering.
  • Considers how present policies, processes and methods might be affected by future developments and trends.
  • Prepares and reviews contingency plans for problems and situations that might occur.
  • Lead Root Cause analysis on non-conformance with recommendations for improvements to the Supply & Demand teams.

  • Lead, develop and motivate the Team and ensure the team have clear performance objectives through our performance management process.
  • Actively coach and develop leaders to build capability and capacity.

Experience requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics
  • 5-10 years of management experience in Supply Chain and/or related supply chain including design, implementation, and execution of S&OP related processes
  • Experience in ERP systems knowledge
  • Strong intellectual curiosity
  • Strategic and tactical thinking
  • Communication at all levels (both oral and written)
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills
  • Strong leadership skills. Ability to lead, contribute, and influence others in a team-based organisation
  • Project management skills, with an ability to openly convey information to team members in a timely, concise manner.
